Financing costs Volvo – are they insane?

I’ve been driving an S60 T5 since the end of 2002. Actually, after about 75,000 km, I’m fully satisfied with the car. The only nerve for me is the size of the trunk. When it comes to transporting something bigger, I prefer to go back to my wife’s Gulf. So I love the V70 T5. Since a new Volvo dealer opened up in my city two weeks ago, I thought: ask for current conditions and, if necessary, for opening offers. First shock: value of my car (absolutely top maintained): 15TEuronen (dealer purchase price) – purchase price about 45TEuronen – well: you have to live with it if you buy a new car. Second shock: financing offer of Volvobank: 7,29 % effective annual interest rate Are those because of the madness? Do the buyers want to gruesome themselves. We expect in about one year with a new model and then these conditions. There is BMW currently at 5er cheaper. Has someone financed recently at Volvo and will get better conditions? I would not be able to buy it over 250.
