As with me the oil and spark plug change was done during the purchase (6 months ago) this falls away. As I knew it myself so far, the timing belt has to be changed at 100,000 – 130,000 km (depending on the model and brand). This information is from my acquaintance and family circle where all brands are driven. Now I am also from We The span was as expected heavy I got an offer from a free workshop for the inspection without timing belts, 160 Euro incl. car rental. Cleanly I thought. Then however (using the invoices from the car) found that the first timing belt is still in it. Second offer from the same workshop for inspection with timing belts 570 Euro! Further to Seat car dealership and afterwards to a VW car dealership, price is there 850 Euro (estimated) The interesting thing comes now: At the VW Autohaus, they said to me that the Seat models for petrol engines from the series are not required to change the timing belt. Always only testing. What does it look like with you? Has the timing belt always been changed in the above mentioned period?
