Hello, I have a big problem with my VR6 year 95, 90,000km: Last week Friday the chain tensioner of the upper control chain was replaced. 2 days later suddenly the engine went out. Cause: Lower control chain was torn. With the result that the valves are broken and possibly also the pistons have irreparable damage. In other words: engine damage!!!! My question now: Can a connection exist here, i.e. can something be forgotten or wrongly done here at the first “repair” or botched, that now the lower control chain is suddenly tearing? (at the moment the car is still in the workshop)
