Hello dear mini-friends, my recently acquired 2008 Cooper S (N14, automatic) with 140k kilometers has significant power loss. Feels missing 30-40hp. Engine jumps smoothly on engine runs round but somehow a bit lame and tangled More than 195 km/h speedometer does not run anymore, no matter how long the straight line is… It spins hardly/not over 5000, especially in gears 4-6 No engine warning lamp control chain sounds inconspicuous Sometimes in the fault memory 002745 Multiplicative Mixera daption AU is NEW, without problems with the power loss Hardly increased consumption. Approx. 9.1l on average (50% rural road, 40% AB with 150km/h, 10% city)My theories for the error source: 1. Spit nozzles/injectors glued away and inlet valves coked. That would fit the error picture. Somehow I believe it. 2. High pressure pump. I measured it during the drive. Runs with 50 – 120 bar in the target range. With defective HDP it would also start badly and jerk. 3rd Lamdasonde/Kat. If there was something, he wouldn’t have passed the AU? 4th throttle valve/LMM? 5th fuel filter too? 6th turbo. But according to the previous owner it’s new. I’m surprised that the car doesn’t have “turbo thrust”. Acceleration is very linear, almost like a sucker. But without a turbo it wouldn’t go 195…I have to go to the workshop anyway, but what do you think? Do you have a tendency? Thank you and greeting, Andi
