My SL500, R129, 2001, M113 E50, Mopf2, 129,068 so suction tube circuit no NW adjustment, approx. 95,000km, stands every winter about 5-6 months. Since this summer he scrapes at cold start, this gives itself, if you drive it a few minutes. I strongly assume that the steering chain has hung and possibly the sliding rails are brittle, despite the relatively small km running number, simply material fatigue after almost 20 years n. My question would be whether I should first check the control times, possibly have the chain tensioner changed, or the same (that would be my first intention, since I will be in possession of this SL, and so I would like to drive it for a few more years 68 years), the chain tensioner, the control chain, the sliding rails, possibly also the crankshaft belt disc. Everything I do at my age, I don’t want to have to do again, so then gle Since I have not found much about it here (only an excellent illustrated description of these works at an M119, where I can not decide how much this differs from the M113), I ask for information about this. Of course, it would be helpful to have a guide, WIS?, and which parts I need and which are recommended and where available. This, although I will not do the work myself, can, but I am always well informed in advance, u m good work to get good parts at a reasonable price. Thank you and dear greetings from the coronage bagged Austria, Sepp
