Hello, I drive a B4 Competition (2.0 16V) and have recently changed control chain between the camshafts and hydropunch because of rattles and clacks. The rattle is gone, but I still hear a clacker. Both in cold and warm condition. The oil level is correct and 10 W 40 would have to be enough in my opinion from the viscosity. Does an idea come from where the clacking or how I remove it? It definitely comes from the head – a defect at the conrod bearings w I would therefore exclude. Thank you very much for your answers, Greetings Christoph.
