Hi, I drive a 97-er Scorpio 2,3. On the way from my workplace, I noticed that the steam is coming out of the engine compartment. Then I went home at the snail’s pace and did research on the causes. The whole engine compartment was wet sprayed from top to bottom. After a detailed test of the hoses, which did not show anything, I looked at the thermostat housing and see there, a crack!. Nothing happens in idle mode, but as soon as you increase the speed to about 2500 rpm, one really strong fountain. Has one of you ever had such a thing?. Overheats the thermostat?. Or why does such a part?. Only age phenomenon?. Where do you get such a part (except at Ford) ?. Loves new!. What costs such a thing?. Is it special to consider when swapping etws?.
