Good evening, dear community, this morning at 5 o’clock the return trip to Germany from Zagreb in Croatia should be ready. I was there with some friends. At 3 o’clock we decided to refuel and buy drinks. Then it happens, an accident! The fault is quite clearly with the Croats. I turned left and he boarded me with 100 things full in the side. When the police came, he went directly with you in the van and came out 10min later with the policeman again. And before we could say something, it was my fault and I should pay 120 euros on the spot! I tried to explain it and my friend too, but we didn’t speak and it was our fault! Then I telephoned a Croatian friend who lives in Germany and he said that I should just pay 120 euros and report to my insurance company in Germany what it really was like and that they would then settle it. with doors and fenders damaged and the car looks really bad and the damage certainly amounts to the 8000 Euro! Now my question, do I have any chance that his insurance will take over the damage by telling my insurance correctly? Bzw. what should I do now? Or did any of you have a similar case?
