Hello, this weekend I had a discussion in the circle of friends on the topic of fine dust in direct injections. The reason was one of the friends, who is currently looking for a Touran II TSI (Euro6) annual car. At the moment is quite throbbing on the diesel technology and almost branded as NoGo. However, the gasoline direct injections emit enormous amounts of fine dust, as far as they do not have OPF (ottoparticle filter). This is however nowhere series, since not of the Politi The manufacturers are familiar with the problem, but they have so far sat out. Autonomous driving and multimedia in the car is, after all, more important… Back to the planned Touran purchase of the friend. Can or should one buy cars without OPF at all now? Are these Euro6 gasoline engines the next cars that could be banished from the cities (or districts) in case of fine dust alarms? apparently not from the punches (blue badge yes/no) and at the moment still transfers the responsibility to the cities, after all in the autumn Bundestag election… Personally I think that if a car purchase is not necessarily necessary to postpone it. Maybe one sees in 1-1.5 years more clearly…No one can look at the future, but nevertheless : What is your opinion about it? Buy now only Euro6 (without OPF) or not? Greetings Markus
