Hello everybody, there’s been a long rumor that Tesla has been using heated steering wheels in Model 3 for a while (more precisely since the end of 2020, all steering wheels that no longer have seams at 10 am or 2 pm, similar to Model Y). Now there were new clues in the teslamotorsclub, see appendix. According to two equally loud statements by Rangers, the heaters are already stored in newer vehicles, but not activated yet – which might indicate that with Christmas update Part II, for which we are still waiting, this activation could take place. In one of the last updates, the voltage on the steering column electronics has probably already been adjusted. Let’s see if some will be surprised with a steering wheel update before the summer. The question is only whether all vehicles with the new steering wheels already have the ability and it only needs an update or if there are still adjustments to the steering column in the production process. have to have newer vehicles.
