Is there any information about the high performance computers in ID.3? What does the device look like? Where does it sit? Performance data? My information so far: – 3 pieces are installed: 1x infotainment, 1x autonomous driving, 1x other (cockpit, window lifter, …) – in some cars only 2x pieces are installed (which is missing?) – the HPC for the HUD is currently too slow; therefore the subsequent update procedure at the end of the year – it is running (for the first time) vw.os on it; currently 10% sel bst programmed, in the future it should be 60% (up to 2025); but then where does the rest come from? Virtually only the current ECU software ported?? – instead of Canbus is the entire network Gigabit-capable – Manufacturer is Continental, the software Linux (how does that fit vw.os?) and comes from a Conti subsidiary – the acquired vehicle and driving data are stored in the vw automotive cloud (based on Windows Azure) Basically the system is the future core of VW and I would fre e.g. Tesla is developing this area itself, including processor.
