Good day, I have the following problem. A GY6 50cc scooter, found in catastrophic condition, pretty much the whole Eleltrik was gone – works now but so far again everything. Problem is only that I have no ignition spark.. probably coming from the CDI – where I also come to the problem. There was only no CDI available, the 2 plugs for the CDI were cut off. So new CDI ordered and plugs with contacts. Everything so clamped and measured as shown on the picture below The problem, however, is when I measure the CDI on passage at the 4pin. socket: at the contacts (see picture) “Zündschloss” and “Masse” I have a passage of 0Ohm, as if these contacts were connected in parallel. Well, now it is, however, that I switch mass to one contact once, and once 12V to the other contact once. So every time the fuse flies through (short circuit)… -> As soon as I turn the ignition lock into the 2nd position b Since only then the 12V via the ignition lock can be switched to the CDI. (black cable, i.e. the name “Zündschloss” in the picture) Now my question: Is the new CDI broken here or do I just have a mistake in thinking? Maybe the 12V contact doesn’t have to go there?? Have also seen several schematics where this contact is missing. (With me the cable was already there, and wouldn’t know what else it should be for. Besides, I had read that if the CDI has 6 pins By the way, I have already tried a new ignition lock, but this also switches 12V in the second position, on the black cable, which goes to the CDI.
