I probably need some new winter tires this year and have asked for the prices at individual tyre dealers today. for buying stationary, but what some sellers tell you is a bit borderline. Some quotes from one of the phone calls: ‘Semperit is really good on snow, that is an Austrian company after all.’ Demand whether they are not just a brand of Continental: ‘No, they are independent.’ But I should nevertheless take Conti, because Semperit only rides well in the curves. ??? ‘Nokian I can’t recommend for winter tyres, that’s a cheap heart eller like Goodride, to use at most for summer tyres.’ ???? Another dealer told me that Nokian was a brand like platinum tires, qualitatively but clearly worse. Is that mere ignorance, or do sellers try to direct one to certain products? I have to say, however, that two of the four phone calls also went very well and constructively. Another good result is that I will probably actually come relatively cheap to good tyres. Price differences also in the individual chains (Vergölst, Euromaster) are partly surprisingly large.
