Used Prius or a Volvo (or something else) than a family car

So I’m looking for a new car, but I’m not so in the subject. Currently we drive an old Fiat Punto (consumption just over 5 L on 100 km) which is four but sometimes too small and soon 20 years old. So I’m primarily looking for a practical car that costs almost nothing, especially in the maintenance, and also doesn’t make any dirt. That’s why I came up with a used Prius in the selection. That seems to work really solid. And after a pure elek Ion, Sono Sion, E-Go Live) seems to be the best choice. For me, electric is not yet feasible, since the charging infrastructure in D is missing. But: Modern Prius engine back or forth: a Volvo V60 is available at a similar used market price as a Prius+. In addition, the consumption is lower and the comfort is higher. Of course, the lower car tax speaks for the Prius, but is it more expensive in terms of consumption than a Volvo, depending on the model? It’s easy for someone to give me the decisive hint. So I’m mainly interested in a robust, cheap car (I don’t want to have one at all and would like to ride by train and bike), but a Volvo is also very nice and well done. What can a Prius do better?
