Hello, I had a rather broad and excited discussion in the pub yesterday evening about wheel nuts and wheel screws. Primarily it was about the distinction and the distribution of both “fixes”. It actually started because my buddy thought he had to buy new wheel nuts. Then another said it was wheel screws. I agreed because the “things” have just an external thread and no internal thread. So far so good, there is a problem. Then the conversation went in the direction, when what and why. None of us could immediately call a current car, where there are nuts instead of the screws. So the question is, are wheel nuts still used in modern vehicles today or only screws? Would be happy about a positive answer, then I do not have to order the next beer but the buddy
