Attempted car theft – does the partial cascade pay?

Hello together, yesterday I had to find out unfortunately that the locking cylinder was drilled out of the driver’s door and pulled out completely. In the process, the painted handle cover was probably torn off with a tool, whereby the door around the door handle has several dents and scratched. The culprit took the handle cover and the locking cylinder with him, but did not enter the interior, which is why there is nothing missing or damaged. The case has been reported to the police and is led there under “tested car theft”. According to vandalism this does not look like at least – for fun nobody will drill the door lock. The car is fully insured, but I would prefer a settlement over the partial cascade because of the missing upgrading and the lower excess. It was, of course, up to the handle plate and the locking cylinder. The damage is estimated at 2000-250€ with the replacement of the locks, the door handle and the removal of the paint defects. The damage is not to be taken away in the vehicle – is this nevertheless a case for the partial cascade, or do I have to bite in the sour apple and take advantage of the complete?
