Hello, my W463.346 has cost me after approx. 7.5 years and approx. 125.000 km already various gray hair (gear, vibrations, strong rust on the front disc frame and much more). Yesterday I was on my way when I suddenly noticed a soft brake pedal and relatively large operating path. At first I didn’t think much about it, because I had to drive only about 500 m away to home anyway. Shortly afterwards also the brake warning light lit up and it became lower Brem At home, I was looking for the right thing to do. At the back left of the tyre, there were some damp splashes on the inside and immediately next to it, it dripped in seconds in front of the rear axle brake fluid. After lifting the HInteraxes, I was able to take a closer look at the disaster. At the top, directly above the rear axle, there is a distributor with various brake lines on brake hoses, which in turn lead to a distributor on the HA. The brake line HL was literally bristled on the ground just before the distributor (see photo). There are also some cables running right there, and it seems to me that one might have scrubbed at the brake line and thus obviously led unnoticed to the corrosion. I separated the part visible in the photo and extended it to the distributor by a self-made piece. I tried to put the suspicious (naturally quite immovable) cable aside. There is very little space there. More was unfortunately not feasible. Who also has such a car, should maybe look in the spot precautionally…
