Hello forum ! I have just experienced a nasty surprise : My motorcycle trailer is now six years old and should finally get a speed 100 approval. Since trailer tyres are not allowed to be older than 6 years to drive 100, I needed two new ones. When I wanted to drive to the TÜV for registration I looked at the DOT for the first time : (0708), i.e. 7.KW 2008 !? For the 100er permission counts however the production date and not the purchase date So with these tyres not even four years instead of six years ! Can I as customer demand brand new produced tires, or can the actually be stored for several years ?
