I just read at ZDF in the Viedeotext that Fernando Alonso allegedly got the release of McLaren-Mercedes at the end of the season. Ron Denis probably said this to the daily newspaper “The Times” in England, but as always you have to be careful with English or Spanish newspapers. I can imagine that it is a targeted information to put pressure on Alonso and discredit it. Are there any other sources for this? I think it would be a pity, not because I like him, but it’s impressive to see 2 approximate top riders on a team. I can only bow down to McLaren-Mercedes that they don’t define a clear No.1 and put the sport in the foreground, even if that has suffered a bit in Hungary. Not all teams have seen this in recent years and we won’t see it after this embarrassing theater. I wonder who will record Alonso n will, Renault shouldn’t be able to give him a competitive car at the moment, BMW-Clean has 2 drivers who are currently more than just respectful. Maybe he’s doing it and going to Toyota? Or is he replacing the luckless Massa? All wild speculation from me, let’s see what will happen.
