Moisture sidewall below – how to repair – Heku 611 or Bürstner i 575

Hello, I bought last year a Heku 611 of the same construction with the Bürstner I 575 (year 2001). Unfortunately I had to find a bigger moisture damage now. The lower side “plankung” was probably not properly sealed so that there was a lot of moisture collected and through the screws also penetrated into the base plate. I now made this plank and saw that the wood in the side wall on the complete side length mor I was at the workshop and it has now recommended the following steps: 1. Scratch out all rotten wood 2. then let dry over winter now and help in between with the hair dryer 3. fill the gaps with hardwood 4. let a VA angle plate cut and fasten over the lower side 5. Make planking again and seal properly What do you think about the procedure? The workshop is now not necessarily specialized only on campers, That’s why I’m unsure. How should I fix the wood in between? Should I fill gaps with foam? Thank you for your help!!!
