Hello dear motor talk community, I have a question about radio reception. I have had a VW UP for 2 months! White with 6 speakers and the standard radio. From the beginning when I listen to radio (and the stations are also set with the correct frequency) I have no clear sound. Do you know how it is when you are on the highway and the transmitter slowly disappears. This noise in the background, or when there are sound fluctuations – or a noise can be heard briefly. It hears Just look at it as if the transmitter was not set correctly – and that for all channels. Especially on the highway or higher speed the problem is extremely noticeable. My car salesman didn’t notice it until he listened properly – even at a slightly higher volume. By the way, it was the same with the highUP in the car dealership during the test drive. A construction error on the antenna? The radio should probably be the RCD215. – So the standard radio as well as in the golf. Do you also have this problem? Listen carefully – even at a higher volume. Don’t you have a “clear” reception? By the way, I don’t live in the country – I live in the big city where the reception should be good. In my second car (golf) I don’t have at least this unclear reception. I have at least now made an entry with Volkswagen directly – because nothing could be found in the workshop. However, the seller also perceived this unclear sound (in both cases Cars) and said I should complain to VW. THANK YOU for the answers! LG
