For more than 10 years now and about 160 000 km I drive my C5-III HDI 165 with automatic transmission – and this is still to the fullest satisfaction! During the last maintenance/inspection – as well as the last one – “the friendly” suggested to me to have my transmission rinsed – and to change the oil. However, according to my knowledge these transmissions are maintenance-free and “life-time lubricated” – and probably also a closed system. I don’t have any abnormalities in my machine. I mean, it’s all shut down and it switches like on the first day. Now the question is: Should you attack such a functioning system? And by the way: what does the fun cost?
