Hello, what is coming now is almost not to be believed but still true! My SL 500 BJ 2002 had already 3 times a total failure. Correctly read – under driving suddenly no steering, no brake, no light, nothing at all! It seems as if the electricity and thus the entire electronics suddenly fail under the ride. The first time the problem occurred about a year ago. At 100 km/h in the evening were on the country road. Suddenly “Ende Gelände”. With need I came to 100 m at the roadside to stand. With both feet I stood on the brake. The steering reacted also only with great force effect. Of course the next day in the workshop. In answer I got “Can not be, the car has an emergency power supply, I must have been mistaken”. Well I thought to myself already no more and just pushed it out until a few days ago. But last so. then immediately two failures. Thank God again not so snow ll driven and no other cars were on the road. I then brought the car to the workshop on Monday, because the thing then honestly becomes a bit too dangerous for me. Don’t think about what could happen. Today the car picked up! And now comes the real hammer! Mechanic hands me the key and says “everything clear again and still nice week”. Curious as I am, I ask where the problem lay. Mechanic: Oh you mean the total failure – there We didn’t find anything in the protocol!!! I: And that means? Mechanics: If there had been anything, it was in the protocol. I: There are certainly problems that don’t appear in the protocol!?! Mechanics: Maybe, but I would have to call in “Berlin” (Mercedes-Zentrale)!!! I then to the boss and asked what that should be. Chef: What should we do if nothing is in the protocol. Find it to be so impudent and, above all, irresponsible. Zuh ause tries to get in touch directly with Mercedes (Berlin). Problem, however, is that everything has to run through the workshop and I can’t get directly to it. Well, and the workshop doesn’t seem to be willing to do anything here. Maybe one of you has some tips for me!
