Hello Leuts, So, the following situation: 1. I have only recently returned to Germany, therefore I don’t have a car with German registration number and therefore no running German car insurance, so I am a new customer. 2. Would like to buy a used car, which is logged off with rest TÜV at a small dealer 250 KM far away. 3. I don’t have a drawing vehicle, let alone a car transport trailer. Problem: Transfer of the freshly bought sweetheart, without for it 1000KM to drive. There are now new laws on the short-term registration mark. Apparently I can register this now also at the registration office from the location of the car and then have signs made to me on site. To do this apparently need a car bill and HU report. May be possible, because the dealer would be present and has these documents. But also this eVB from the insurance. OK, I could take out insurance for the car in advance, and within the framework of this it request such an eVB for the short-term registration marks. Just what if I arrive there and the car is not as great as in the photos, and I want to buy another one? Although the same model, but different year of construction, different mileage, other engine? The insurance, and thus also the short-term registration mark, were taken out for this special car. That would not fit for another car at all, would it? Or first not complete full insurance, sonde n nn only apply for Kzk insurance, and then after a successful transfer, only the actual insurance is completed? And if I buy an alternative car, which is very close to me, then the KZK insurance was out of the way, right? Or can I get a KZK eVB number via Paypal almost immediately, if I have visited the distant car and want to buy and transfer spontaneously on site? Or stop the variant: -driving, -angucking , if necessary buy, -for the first time take only papers and keys home, -then insure at home in peace, register, make signs -again drive (by train, or ride, or hitchhiker, or donkey carts… etc.) -final signs on it -finally drive home. Grubel, ponder, how do I do this most cleverly, so that I have at the end possible little stress and cost?
