Hi guys, I have a somewhat unusual question for you and this is the following: I have long been faced with the puzzle why the entire diesel engines no matter from which manufacturer, be it TDI, TDCI, CDI whatever can not really be turned up, so only up to approx. 4500~5000 rpm. Why is that? Do the manufacturers simply not want this, or is it technically simply not possible and if so why? Could one build a “diesel racing engine” which is also sometimes really h And if you could do that what would be necessary? Not that I wanted to do this, only out of pure interest I would be interested in the technical details as well! But now please don’t ask me the question why and why you should do this, it just interests me in principle! For the hopefully numerous answers I would like to thank you in advance! Mfg fastlane
