Hello guys, so I’m really stunned at a really simple thing..I explain. I did an oil change yesterday with the Santa Fe Built. 2005 2.4 lt petrol 147 HP my father-in-law made an oil change… already ten times with other cars. I loosen the oil drain screw and the oil starts to run out. I wonder why so little oil runs out (just as estimated 1.5 – 2.0 liters. Okay..I know that the Santa Fe is an oil eater and my father-in-law also often Oil had to refill. I think that what was in it was full. just so at the border so that the oil warning light did not jump on. So I let it all run out, start the engine for a short time for 10 sec to push out the last rest of the circuit, close down again and start to fill new oil. Lt. manual have to enter 4.3 liters of fresh oil. Luckily, a funny feeling makes me feel and I fill about the same amount of one that ran out. I have just replenished a little bit over a litre but the oil measuring rod indicates that the oil is filled to the top of the make-up. I run the engine, measure after, let the engine cool and measure about ten times after, but the oil measuring rod always shows me that the oil is filled to the top mark….that with about 1-1.5 liters of oil ????? That can’t be to hell. I drive the car but no oil warning leuc hte light up…nothing. Does anyone have an explanation for this…there can’t be? Is there a Vllt. at the oil outlet i-what clogs that the whole oil didn’t get out at all..where is the oil then? What can be clogged and why did something then run out…and the rest not..where is the rest going? The oil measuring rod shows with not necessarily clear, fresh oil but the measuring rod is rather dark…so than the one that would not have been immersed in pure fresh oil…that’s the only explanation. ung that I have but what can that be ? Ask for your help or opinion…Thank you.
