GT: Experience with vehicle width

I’m thinking about whether the GT is a sports car for me. So far I’m driving 911 as a fun car. With the GT, the vehicle width seems to me to be the critical issue, since the GT with its 1.95m width is almost 14cm wider than the 911(BR 991). I live in a city where I park in normal-wide parking garages. Also many roads in my surroundings are rather narrow due to parked driving points in the oncoming traffic. As a fun car, my sports car often becomes faster on smaller cars. What are the experiences of the GT owners here: Does it make sense for me to consider the car? Some hints in order to focus your answers: (1) Yes, my wife and I can drive. Also in tight space. (2) You don’t need to convince me of the engine/gear unit etc., because we are used as a vehicle.
