Kia Rio 1.2 or 1.4 Gasoline?

Hello We are looking for a small car on the Rio. The design did it to us. The workmanship makes a very good impression. The test car was an edition7 with 1.4 L. The engine is also considerably quieter when accelerating than the dt. competition. If you do not expect the 109 HP, the performance for a small car goes in order. Only it remained the impression “less should not be”. The seller advised from the smaller engine, but they do all wrong. ls they think this is still in the budget. If something is criticized in the test reports at all, then the “flow weakness” of the 1.4 he engine. In the Focus report the smaller engine was referred to as the more modern and recommendable. No further test report gives information about it.Focus test report The only hint in the data sheets that it could be different engine development levels: The small engine has the longer stroke. 1.2er: 78.8mm, 1.4er; 75mm. Has anyone driven both? or can anyone confirm the statements in the Focus article? My dealer has only 1.4 on the farm. Greeting Bernd
