Good afternoon, one of you has experience with loud rattle/folding when starting a M256 i6 engine cold and can name a possible cause? I have experienced the noise when starting a cold E450 and Cls450, both about 80,000km of mileage. This seems to be possible with the 53 AMG variants. Here is a link to a video, which I found.https://youtube.com/shorts/Jhx9hvc_s08?si=_2rdOtAHBs1BCI8m The video refers to the Wastegate arm, but does not mention a solution. a a series six cylinder is known for the running culture and Mercedes e.g. uses NVH-optimized plastic motor carriers and other measures to lower the NVH level, it would surprise me if the noise in the cold start would be normal/state of the art – this would be possible of course.
