Good morning, I drive a Mini ONE D 1.5 95hp of the series F56. I found a slight jerking in the partial load range and drove into the workshop. They have read out two errors in the memory: – camshaft sensor – air mass meter The workshop now suspects that the control chain is too loose and therefore has to be renewed. The suitable tool, which is needed to accurately measure the travel of the control chain, has to order the workshop first, after which you can easily l make a precise statement, if it is the chain. In any case, he has already calculated the incurred costs. These amount to approx. 2000€. He must probably the engine, gearbox out and the axle out also to get to these chain / chains. Question: – Do you think it is the control chain? – Are the costs realistic? Greetings
