Hello, I installed a new HEI distributor today, started the engine, ran though, but a bit “fair” (different) than usual. I then drove out of the garage, engine short out because I needed the key, engine again, could then not drive a meter more, engine went off and does not go on now. Does someone have an idea before I start screwing now and do nothing better. Had the spark plug from the first cylinder outside and the valve lid off. until both valves were closed, then I felt the pressure when turning at the spark plug hole. After that I put the ignition masking to 0 degrees at the ignition plate. Oil pump turned so far until the distributor on the first cylinder completely downwards much. A question asked me at this time, if I mark the first cylinder on the distributor body, then I can install the distributor correctly then always turn the distributor body so that the marking of the soldering How do I know I’m really right?
