Hello, I had the Suzuki Jimny as a rental car some time ago and was very excited about the car. Most of the off-road vehicles can only dream about the off-road capability of this vehicle. Now I ordered a new Jimny (second car) in the course of the scrapping premium. It is an EU import vehicle and should be delivered in about 1 month. So that I can get the vehicle as soon as possible, I had to do without the equipment with aluminium rims and fog lights. However, I would like to retrofit it. I have now come up with a few questions, and I hope they can be answered here. 1. I have heard that the underbody protection and the cavity sealing of the vehicles are not optimal ex-works and it would be advantageous to re-improve the underbody protection and the cavity sealing. Is this true? Is there any experience? 2. I would like to equip the vehicle with the original fog lights afterwards. Do you already have the necessary cables and switches ready or is this a huge blower so that you should have it retrofitted better in the workshop? 3. The same applies to retrofitting with speakers at the back. Are there already the cables? 4. In some forums it is said that the steering of the Jimny is slightly fluttered if you want to skimp the vehicle with wider tyres visually. However, I am not only concerned with the optics. I would like to prevent deep tracks from driving into the meadow, for example if I want to drive on my property in damp weather. Up to which tires / rim size can you go without hesitation without the vehicle getting restless? Does anyone have an idea? Wouldn’t want to add and remodel everything possible, just because of some larger tires. 5. Is there a tire for the Jimny that is suitable for both road and terrain? Is it always a compromise. However, if you could find an all-year tire that would be suitable for off-road use, and you could save yourself the regular tire changing. Perhaps there are corresponding experiences and hints here in the forum. Thank you very much and nice greetings Dieter
