Hello together maybe someone can help me I am in despair. I bought a R 320, long wheelbase in December, 2009. The car has a complete service booklet of Mercedes and about 129,000 km on the speedo. Since it was also only a pure summer car, I thought I can do nothing wrong and paid more than it is in the course of private. Immediately after the purchase, the disillusionment… I noticed that with more acceleration up to about 60 km/h a lukewarm It is usually not a problem to speed up directly from the position, it is in motion and you latched into the gas the problem is there. The knocking now begins felt under the middle armrest and goes after the feeling, to the rear. No matter in which gear the car is located 1,2,3,4 – if you give strong gas, when it is in motion, it seems as if there is a dwarf sitting under the car knocking with the hammer from below. There is no problem if you are comfortable with gas. Overtaking manoeuvres 60 km/h plus with kick down no problem. According to the advice of the Arbö screwdriver, I am to Mercedes. There, after a short test drive, the suspicion of a broken distribution gearbox came. For the test, oil was drained from the distribution gearbox…. totally burned. After Mercedes only changes original parts and costs the gearbox without installation 6000 €, I am in a free workshop. The transmission was completely restored by a transmission specialist including chain change. With full Europhie we went to the test drive – great disappointment – the ratter and knock is still there. We then drained the oil from the front and rear differential…. As good as new. We got the rubber bearings from the distribution gear to the cardan shaft. Seen…. OK. Next step would be to dismantle the rear cardan shaft and then make a test drive again, Bzw afterwards the front. Has someone ever had such a problem or experience with it or can give me a tip. THANK YOU LG Mike
