Hello guys to me yesterday something happened that I can’t classify. I’m, as surely known, a polisher. I recently bought an eccentric machine (Vossner) and last week with my newly bought red and white polishing pads in yellow and orange and with Menzerna FG 400 and PF 2500 my passat quite successfully polished. Yesterday, after the used pads were washed, I polished our polo. First the hood, then the first roof half. When I was at the back of the badger spoiler came and was there so at the polishing (of course nice driving slowly in the cloister) it suddenly began to smoke. Of course I got a huge scare and raised the machine, which was just on stage 6, reflex-like to the top, because I thought I might have burned the paint, mind you with the eccentric. At the same time the polishing pad, yellow and new (did take the unused first) flew away in high arc. When I found it again I was totally surprised, the pad was almost hot and d had totally disassembled (on the first two photos the left one). On my paint had not happened thanks to God. After the first shock I then took the second yellow pad and polished it further. However, I didn’t have much fun either, because after the second half of the roof I started with the right side part. Once down, it started to smoke again and also this pad disassembled into several parts. This time I reacted a little faster. What did I do wrong? agt, last week everything was perfect and now something like that. Actually, I don’t think I put too much pressure on it and for too long I certainly didn’t polish it, 3 maximum 4 crucifixes per surface. To finish polishing the car I then took the orange pads and changed them several times. I checked them again and again for the temperature, not that they even crumbled to me. If it had been cheap pads now I would have thought, well, bad quality, but with red and white -Pads?! Has someone experienced such a thing? It can’t be that such polishing pads give up the mind already after a polish. Picture 3 shows the orange pads, one of which has already got a crack, I don’t know how. In the middle the pads are already very soft and have deformations. Very long they won’t do it anymore.
