Hello, I didn’t find anything about the search function – I hope someone can help you. We would like to retrofit a trailer coupling at our VW Up! 1.0 with 44 kW / 60 hp, built in May 2012 (for a bicycle carrier and a small hardware store trailer with a maximum permissible weight of 750 kg). There are several suppliers of trailer couplings for the Up! on the Internet, even entry-free with ABE and according to the description with 850 kg trailer load and 50 kg support load. I w ar just press the order button when I saw in the vehicle registration (ZB part I) that under O.1 and O.2 there are no values braked at the trailer load / unbraked but a line. I then asked the suppliers of the trailer couplings who told me if no trailer load is entered in the vehicle registration certificate then the vehicle is not designed for the trailer operation, they do not provide an expert report or similar with which I could have a trailer load registered. ch then asked the TÜV who told me that one can register a trailer load if there is an expert report in which it is confirmed that the desired trailer coupling on the vehicle and the vehicle itself is designed for the trailer load (which however the suppliers of the trailer couplings cannot deliver to me). Yesterday I wrote to the customer service of VW, there are up! ́s with retrofitted trailer couplings and they would have to have a trailer load in the papers e and I have therefore asked whether they can send me an expert report or a certificate for a maximum trailer load for a registration (reply is still pending). Now the questions to you or those who have retrofitted an AHK: 1. Was there originally no trailer load entered in the vehicle certificate? 2. If not, did you have a follow-up and if so, how did you proceed? Once a trailer load is entered in the papers then it would have to be possible to mount an accessory AHK with ABE which then no longer has to be registered. Thanks already in advance and many greetings Frank
