Grand Espace from 2003: steering, clutch, climate defective: repair or new purchase?

Here are the facts: – Grand Espace IV (JK) 2.0 Turbo petrol 160 hp – first registration 07/2003 – purchased in 2007 for 15,000 euros at the Renault dealer with mileage 90,000 km – current mileage about 140,000 km – HU until 06/2013 According to this dealer (at the same time workshop) now defective: – clutch, completely down driven (that’s also so, I notice myself while driving) – storage of the track rod heads is knocked out / has easy game (this has already told us another workshop) – steering loses oil – according to Renault, the replacement of the entire steering is necessary! For this we got a price of 1,600 Euro for parts and approx. 1,300 Euro for work performance. In addition: – air conditioning: cooling capacitor defective, costs approx. 400 to 500 Euro – summer tires have to be renewed next year – costs? – The dealer who has already offered us a new Espace (oh what!), dro with the failure of the engine in the next 20,000 kilometers… Now the exciting question: What to do? Money unfortunately plays a role after all… – Only replace the clutch, let the rest run until it fails? Is oil loss of the steering a safety risk? – invest 3,000 euros in the repair of this car and hope that it will last for another two years? – The dealer would offer us about 5,000 euros for the car if we buy a new (or old) from him – good offer? Accept again Rena buy ult Espace? – Or get rid of the car somehow and go looking for something completely new? The easiest way would be to win a lottery… Thank you for your tips, Thomas
