V50 2.0D: Is he really that bad?

Hello Motor-talker, I would like to get a new car in the near future. It should be a station wagon for two people; in other words, it should not be huge. Well and so I came across the Volvo V50. My impressions during the test drive were very positive, because the V50 is going great. However, the check-up of my workshop clouded the picture. Rusty parts, which suggests sloppily precaution during production. Oil loss in the front engine area. Oil-lubricated sockets v For a 2.5-year-old car with 80,000km I found it a bit terrifying. …you should have seen the face of the Volvo dealer once when I came back from the test drive and reported to him! From these impressions I was insecure then all the forums and now I am completely unsure about the V50 2.0D. Because it seems that if you get this Volvo V50, you will get problems. rd. …you believe the forums! Be it with the engine management or with the rest of the periphery. However, it is clear to me that most people in the car forums are looking for help; i.e. want to discuss problems on their vehicles and thus negatively influence these forums.

Now my question: Is there anyone here who has been driving a Volvo V50 2.0D for a long time and had no or weing problems. Incidentally, it was also striking that most V50s had their probs quite early h However, I read little about vehicles with high mileage.

One more thing: Volvo offered me to correct all defects and give me 2 years warranty.
