Moin, on Friday my friend with our Smart 451 (52kW, approx. 130,000 Km, year 07) stayed there. The engine didn’t start anymore. So I towed home and read out errors with Texa. Error codes: ABS/ESP -> C1323 CAN communication with transmission control automatic transmission -> P1800 record transmission control unit Since I had the actuator in my suspicion (some years ago because of switching problems times cleaned and readjusted or caviared), I tried to control it via the software – no reaction. Then I dismantled it once and opened it. Result was – drive shaft (this small screw, which reaches into the plastic gear) is sheared off by the electric motor. No question, the actuator must be new. My question is now, I can check the clutch (possibly blocked, mech. damaged) so that the new actuator is not destroyed directly because of overloading. Have already tried to push a 1/2 inch extension into the pan, where the actuator is not able to separate significantly from the clutch.
