Hello, At the last HU the TÜV objected: “Räder Rims front and rear different, press-in depth and rim width do not match” Who knows the relevant regulations? Do the rims front and rear really have to be the same? For my VW Passat Kombi 3BG Bj.2005 I bought and mounted two finished wheels with light alloy rim (Rondell 35 6.5×15 LK5/112 ET40) and M+S tyres (Uniroyal MS plus 66 195/65 R15 91T) after a plate 2 1/2 years ago. The light alloy wheels have an ET=40, the original steel wheels ET=37. The new light alloy wheels have an ABE for my passat. At HU two years ago there was no complaint with the same wheels. The current examiner scolded about his colleague, who let this go two years ago. Mündlich Reason: That’s not how the tyres run in a single lane. I was only known so far, d the tyres have to be the same on the left and right, but may be different on the front and back. I have implicitly provided that this also applies to the rims. After reading various discussions about different ET front and rear here in the forum, I strongly suspect that in my case the examiner is wrong. From my point of view, the difference between the ET of 3 mm is technically irrelevant anyway. The tester probably did not realize this. I can’t understand this, different profiles should have more influence than different names of the manufacturers. If the rims or ET have to be the same, what measure would you suggest: 1. Get the same light alloy rims for the rear and let the tyres be reassembled by the steel rims. 2. Finished wheels with the same rims but different This would be the fastest time. Uniroyal MS plus 66 is no longer on the market, the successor is called MS plus 77, the same profile is no longer available. I did not find prefabricated wheels with Uniroyal 77, so they would have to be installed first. 3. Let the front tyres from the light-metal rims to the existing steel rims. This is the cheapest version, I like the worst. 4. The light-metal rims at the front Place the spacers 3 mm further outwards. Then there would also be an ET=37. 5. Another ingenious idea I am happy about every hint. Thank you for your patience and perhaps help.
