N ́Evening, I was at the tyre dealer today to ask carefully if they are confident to pull a tire on my white lacquered rim without making any mistakes. He looked at the test report and twisted the eyes when I said that I wanted to drive around 225/40. To the info: it is OZ Supertourismos, front in 8×18 and rear in 9×18″. According to the report you can only drive mixed tyres, e.g. 225/40 front and 245/35 rear. He said that I might s This is because the rims are not intended for a TT, but for A4, A6, A8, Passat etc., so they have a 112 LK. I am not really worried about this and refer to the load capacities. The 8x18s for a TT can have 550 KG/Rad and mine can have 690 KG/Rad. The only thing that irritates me is that the rims for the TT in 8×18″ have a roll-off circumference of 1975 mm, and those for the A4 etc. 2100. If both are equipped as 8×18 with 225/40, then Can’t the roll-off circumference be different, or am I totally plemplem???? Just like that: at the front it will fit with 8×18 with 225/40 and ET 35 plus 20 adapter plates, but what about the rear? 245/35 to 9×18 with ET35 and 20 adapter plates? Could get tight, right? 5 mm you could still get out by changing on 15 adapter plates from SCC. But if that’s the stone of the wise? I’m grateful for any helpful answer. Wouldn’t you like to get an expensive 245 pelle n buy then to see that it does not fit greeting Markus
