Good morning, I recently acquired a 2003′ Phaeton V8. The predecessor apparently had replaced the front upper crossbars of both axles recently. As nothing guessing lay were carried out on both sides. In my possession then I noticed that I have an uneven tire wear at the front… Long talk short sense I began to make the troubleshooting. The installed left upper crossbars proved to be on the lifting platform / wheel plate on wear high 10…. Play without end and thus a free done work by my predecessor ?? So the left axle has to be renewed at all no question. Now to my main question…. On the right axle you can see with the bare eye that the rim is totally inwardly standing… Of course it has a certain geometry, but if I compared the tire distance to the axle of both axles, then the right distance is remarkably smaller than the left axle. After long researched I have come across a hint and would like to ask you now whether this can be the case with my vehicle or whether the axle height has really been fixed to the wheel?
