Runflat – offered tires for years the same?

Hi, I’m currently looking for new Runflat tyres in 205/55 R16 V for my 120d E81. One often reads that the new generation RFT tyres are better, etc. But at the BMW dealer (and also at the online tyre dealers) I am offered tyres – at least in this tyre dimension – which have been on the market for years. For example, I have Continental PremiumContact SSR on my vehicle with DOT2007. This still exists. Another example is the Bridgestone ER3 00-1, which also seems to have been on the market since 2009. 1. Is it to be expected that if, for example, I buy the PremiumContact SSR again, but then with DOT2012, that these are exactly the same, as already my current tyres from 2007 or despite the same model designation changes take place in the tires? 2. Does anyone have experience with RFT tyres that carry the same model designation, but whose DOT are a few years apart? Maybe even especially in the Which RFT in this dimension should you buy most at the moment? Thank you very much. PS: Please don’t discuss RFT. I don’t think the comfort is bad, about 110€ per tire is also not too expensive (online) and about the wear and tear I want to get a picture of myself with new tires (didn’t have the car for long). It’s all about whether tyres that have been offered by name for years are exactly the same as before (even in my case 5) Years.
