Hello guys, this is my first post in this forum. I’ve had my Volvo V40 (built at the end of 2003) for four weeks now and I’m very happy with him overall. He was already in the workshop three times – but because of small things (e.g. squeaky belt, broken xenon burner etc.) Now he’s complaining again. And I noticed during the ride home from the Whitsun weekend on the highway that sometimes very light white smoke from the steering column a In addition, the belt warner suddenly taps irregularly, although I am strapped on. The flashing noise and the signal of the belt warner seem to have the same source. I was already in the workshop of my trust today. But they have no cause. But it goes on: again and again white smoke (but very low) and tackers. After my first research on the Internet, the problem seems to be known, but rather to occur with different VW models. The reason is usually the relay or the flash switch. The resolution of the question, but what was the cause really, almost always remains open. I am perplexed. What else can I do? Does anyone else have an idea of you? Best regards, Paddox
