Moin! My name is Ryan and I am originally from Hamburg, but I am currently living in Santiago de Chile. Shortly after my arrival in April this year, I discovered him: my Alfa Rome 147 2.0 Selespeed, grey, year 2008 and a previous owner. I bought him with 44,000 KM, meanwhile we have reached 47,000 KM, still little for a car with 4 years. In the beginning my Alfa is purred, ran dreamlike but since recently there are smaller problems… NEVER know – probably did not treat him too well, discovered a problem and before the fix probably just sold to a dealer and hoped that some stupid one will buy it already. Well, the stupid one is probably me… I received yesterday – on Christmas day – after my last gift purchase the friendly and positive message that the temperature of the engine has reached the maximum. WELCH message and especially the least stressful day of the year… Engine immediately switched off, waiting 20 minutes for the engine to cool down, which is not really easy at 30 degrees, and then I am off to the next gas station to refill coolant.. I after I managed to open the container – yes careful, was not the first time with warm engine – 2 L. Coolant refilled… I thought, yes is perhaps a coincidence, bad day, etc. and I was hoping it will not happen again. This afternoon – the night was a little longer – I wanted to move my car then, thought to myself but for the sake of security I will look… Who knows what’s coming now? Right, there was no liquid again (photos available and enclosed). I then looked if there was any liquid on the floor of my garage place, but no, since I was with my wife last night with friends. There I called and asked if they somehow have an entire river on your parking space, what you think I was looking for I was with my friends from about 19 to 02 in the morning, had about 1730 2 liters refilled. Between 19 and 02 in the morning the whole liquid must have slipped out somehow again… Since I don’t really understand much of cars, even less of Alfas – yes, I want to change, but not so easily with foreign language (Spanish) and then also with an Alfa – thought I could, if possible, take your help. I have a photo. taken from the refrigerated water tank so that you can see that this one is completely all and a few photos of under my car.. Which one photo – I don’t know what that part is called, would be nice if I could help out there jmd – looks relatively suspicious… looks a little oily or slimy if I’m not mistaken. Is that normal? To get ahead of it, I try to narrow down a little what my problem might be, because the repairs on an Alfa cost here a little bit. Heidengeld (the exchange of my spark plugs cost me 600 euros)…. I am happy about every tip or contribution. Thank you and Merry Christmas
