Hey community! The following concerns: I had an accident about a month ago, which I was not responsible for. My car has a replacement value of 8,300€. Now I have put on it myself during the car search and therefore look for a car up to 10,000€. But I do not understand the following.. What if I buy a car from the car dealership, whose VAT is not passable? My lawyer wrote the following: “… if you buy a cheaper car at the dealership However, if this is a (used) vehicle, that the trader himself has bought from a private person, this is called difference taxed. You will then receive only the VAT which is included in the purchase price. This only concerns the profit margin of the dealer and is usually estimated at 2.4%. The remaining difference to EUR 8300 will then no longer be received.” So what if I am looking for a Would you like to buy a car that costs €10,000, but whose VAT is not passable? Do I still get €8300 from the opposing insurance? I don’t know what difference tax means. I thank you for your help!
