77 Camaro – buy?

Hello, I was asked yesterday evening by a good friend (witnesses and godfather of my daughter) whether we would like to buy a 77 Camaro together. The topic together to buy a vintage car from our year of birth was already in the room for a long time, now by chance something has arisen, which I would like to hear your opinion. The car comes from a distant kin of my friend, who bought it in the 70s as a demonstration car. Since then the car has been in it First hand – the good man is now 91 and has had a stroke. So the Camaro should go away – where we come into play. Apart from the paintwork, nothing is tinted or welded. The box is credible accident-free. The car has been proven to have run 46000km, is an EU version and was repainted 6-7 years ago. However, the paintwork is not particularly good – for now but ok. The interior is still original – clear dissolves here and there something, but in large and whole The 5.0 V8 engine jumped after a year of service with a tremoring bubbling and ran without problems – we could then make a short test drive. Gearbox – brake – chassis – steering etc. inconspicuous. We sat in with 4 men, however, it hung so deep that the exhaust was running at floor waves. Is this normal? On stage we were not yet – underbody, wheel boxes, engine compartment etc. are stainless. Only at the rear end on one side it gammelts un tenrum. The price – because within the family is less than 5000,-€ – i.e. 2-2500 per nose. A parking space in an underground garage is available… I would estimate the general condition with 2-3. The car has TÜV and an H-approval. What do you mean? Greetings Peter
