Hello, last year in June, I caught my (now already scrapped) cassock at the bumper of a Ford Focus. The whole thing happened in the morning in my friend’s yard and it’s the neighbor’s car (my friend’s cousine). She had parked me pretty much, I had to go to a test and was in a hurry, but I was, as I said, caught by my unpainted at her painted shock bar. escheid said and my friend tried to fix the whole thing with polish. Also so far, except for a small scratch that didn’t go out with it. She didn’t take care of the damage at all, nor did she say anything else. Probably taken note of what happened to me and nothing else. I didn’t ask any more then. At some point it was clear that I would still take the environmental premium and buy a new car. That happened in August, shortly before leaving. In September I moved to Switzerland for a study. At the end of September/ beginning of October 2009 my friend on the phone told me that his cousin had approached him, now wanted to have the damage repaired and had a cost estimate made. That amounted to 700 euros. I found this very violent for such a scratch but I know there is also the possibility that hangers are damaged etc. No matter, the fact is that with the insurance I and my friend talked to her and tried to find a compromise. As a student, I don’t have the money to pay her that way and somehow I find it a naughty thing that she hasn’t heard from her for so long. She noticed that I was scrapping the old car. But if she hadn’t delayed everything out, my insurance would have paid quite normally. And besides, I don’t think the damage is really worth 700 euros. What’s the legal situation like now? Does she have no guilt at all, even though she doesn’t have any fault at all, even though she doesn’t have any fault at all? can she show me if I don’t pay 700 euros? Can one help me?
