Moin! As a semi-knower of the vehicle electrics a question. How can it be that a generator light in the instrument combi only glows very weakly. The following: My friend noticed yesterday that the generator light went “on” with our Audi A4 B5. She then drove however still about 6km. However, she had probably not lighted brightly, but only slightly glimmered. In the circuit plan I had seen that the light bulb is still “hard-wired”, so no CAN Bus Kack. Somi t I would first say that the generator voltage is so far below the battery voltage that the lamp is just starting to light up. I don’t know what the need – 3V ? Can it lie on the generator or the controller ? or with a 20 year old car possibly a corroded plug-in contact? Thanks and greeting of the “Stevie”
