It’s still about the new construction of my 87 Softail Evo. Today I wanted to put the primary drive back together again. I noticed after the installation that the primary chain has almost 1cm offset runs wrong. When I measure at the crankshaft side (from sealing surface primary lid to chain link) 2.4 cm when I measure 1.5 cm at the clutch basket. I could now put up further distance pieces at the crankshaft side but then it becomes already a bit tight with the support surface (toggle) of the driver. I have the feeling that something is not right. You can see that the chain has gone wrong for a long time since the holder of the tensioner has already entered a little through the chain.
