Hello, look for a family car, budget up to 10,000 € (had already a thread here..) Have my selection now limited to the two models. Actually, I had decided hard on Octavia, but then I stumbled more or less randomly over a freshly arrived offer and read that the Mazda has 5 steering cats instead of timing belts. What do you think? It should be a gasoline tanker, because mostly short distance and probably well under 15,000 km a year. Perhaps even only around 10,000. Pro and Contra which I have noted so far: Pro Octavia: – cheaper purchase at the same age and duration – less consumption – overall cheaper in maintenance – proven VW technology Pro Mazda 5: – control chain – ang ebenlich also a very reliable car – my girlfriend is animalistic about the thing The Mazda is probably also in the front, but is also a van and not a station wagon.
